The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Theme - Steve Nelson

So there’s only one channel in this motel,

This morning while I was getting ready I was watching Sesame Street.

They were doing this bit where some clown was trying to wash his hands but kept washing his feet or his elbows and Elmo would go, “no mister noodle, your HANDS!” and all the tv kids would laugh.

Around the fourth or fifth time he couldn’t find his hands, I heard a grown man yell from somewhere else in the motel, “GODDAMMIT, MR. NOODLE.”

Most people in the tag seem to have been, like, blown away by the finale. I wasn’t. I thought it had waaaay too many holes, and this is a problem Moffat’s had before: doing things because they’re cool and make people impressed with his ~brilliance without bothering to explain how they work/why the rules have changed (coughWeepingAngelscough). And really, Clara’s great secret is that something was going to happen in the future to disperse her throughout the Doctor’s past? Aside from (on a basic level) being a ripoff of the Bad Wolf thing, it was just BORING. It didn’t make me want to go back through the rest of the Clara episodes to see if it changed anything, because its premise wasn’t something I hadn’t already assumed.

Looking back at the list of series 7 episodes (most of which I had forgotten about), I can honestly say I was only happy with Asylum of the Daleks, and Hide. Two episodes out of thirteen. Pathetic.

Doctor Who is the new Glee.

My biggest worry re: Doctor Who

If this guy we were just introduced to is meant to slot in between 8 and 9 (don’t know if he is; that’s one rumor) then I’m concerned about Moffat messing with the Time War canon we already have. He seems set on bringing out as much of Old Who as he can, throwing things back to the classic series, where RTD bravely distanced himself from all that and created new and more emotionally interesting material to work from. And if (again, big if) this guy is the one who pushed the button, so to speak, how can the audience appreciate the impact this guy’s actions had on his own life when we’ve got 10 and 11 around, but no 9?
